Noa Supports "Blue and Green Cleanup" for Eco-Cleaning Actions on Pag Island
Noa Beach Club is proud to have participated in and supported the “Blue and Green Cleanup” campaign on Pag Island, where volunteers worked diligently to clean the island's coast and underwater environment. The two-day initiative, held at the ACI Marina Šimuni, was organized under the patronage of the Pag City Tourist Board, the City of Pag, and Čistoća Pag d.o.o., with support from the Šimuni Association.
Leading Young Explorer Joins Forces
Kristijan Gligora, the youngest underwater explorer in the world, led the eco-cleaning campaign. At just 13 years old, he has already discovered ancient archaeological sites beneath the Adriatic Sea, including the ancient shore at Girenica and the ancient shipwreck off the island of Maun, some dating back more than 3,000 years. These discoveries enrich our understanding of history and emphasize the importance of marine conservation.
His dedication to preserving the marine environment continues to inspire many, and his participation in the "Blue and Green Cleanup" was no exception. Kristijan worked alongside divers and volunteers to improve the state of nature and contribute to environmental preservation.
Noa Beach Club’s Involvement and Support
Noa Beach Club fully supports these eco-cleaning actions and recognizes their importance for tourism and environmental conservation. We care deeply about nature, cleanliness, and the sea, and regularly organize similar activities at Zrće Beach throughout the summer. By promoting environmental responsibility and cleanliness, we aim to maintain the beauty of Pag Island and ensure a sustainable environment for future generations.
A Collaborative Effort for a Cleaner Future
In addition to protecting the sea, these initiatives foster collaboration and community engagement, strengthening the sense of unity and responsibility. A cleaner environment contributes to the attractiveness of tourist destinations, which is crucial for sustainable tourism.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported and participated in this inspiring campaign, contributing to the preservation of the pristine waters of Pag Island. Noa Beach Club remains committed to supporting Kristijan Gligora’s eco-cleaning actions and other humanitarian efforts, ensuring a cleaner and more sustainable marine environment for all.
Importance of Protecting Our Coastal and Marine Environment
Initiatives like the “Blue and Green Cleanup” offer a unique opportunity for individuals to actively contribute to environmental protection and positively impact the local community. A clean environment not only enhances the attractiveness of tourist destinations but also raises awareness of the importance of preserving the marine environment, inspiring long-term behavioral changes.
